Art, design & social innovation – exploring creative strategies for more human, self reflective and life-sustaining systems
I´m gathering in this project post a selection of Graphic Design work for a wide range of freelance clients in Stockholm (and New York) – archived as the focus of my practice since a few years back does not include regular Graphic Design work.
I look back at these projects in appreciation for what they have taught me about innovative practices within fields such as art, popular brain science, game culture and e-commerce. I also see my schooling in Graphic Design as an excellent base in terms of systems thinking. Dealing with graphic systems one learns to be imaginative yet thorough, creative but very systematic. Through my work in Graphic Design, I have also learned a great deal about how to connect creativity in any form to an understanding of context and the various needs, agencies and human behaviors that operate as part of this context – bridging idea/imagination with material form.
